Guide for Authors

General Information

Please read this guide and guidelines carefully before submitting the article in the system and then submit the article.
After registering the article, if your article is selected by the editor and the editorial board to be sent to the main referee, an email will be sent to you from the system in which the following items are requested, please include these files along with the file. Upload the original article and the authors' profile file in the article files section.
1- Complete the conflict of interest file and upload it in the file upload section under the title conflict of interest form.
2- Complete the letter of commitment file and upload it in the file upload section with the title letter (commitment).

3- Complete the access permission (copyright) file and upload it under the title of copyright license in the file upload section.
4- Received the similarity certificate file (certificate of text authenticity) from similarity search systems (Samim Noor system https://www.samimnoor.ir/view/fa/default or Hamyab Sinaweb https://hamyab.sinaweb.net/) and Upload in the article files section. Note that the similarity percentage of the article must be below 10%. Similarities above 10% will not be ranked. It should be noted that if the article is accepted, the magazine will match the article again. will do
Requirements for Publishing Articles in the Journal
  1. Editorial policy

Articles submitted to this journal must have the following features:

  1. Be original and innovative.
  2. Written based on academic research methods.
  3. Present innovative literary criticism and analysis. This journal does not publish translations.

Articles will first be reviewed in the editing committee and, after being approved, will be sent to the referees for evaluation. The referees’ comments will then be reviewed by the editing committee and the final decision will be made.

2.Framework of the Articles

  1. Manuscripts must be well-organized and observe the principles of Persian rhetoric.
  2. Organization of articles:

2.1. A short title expressing the aim of the study, typed on top of the page, centered, and bold-faced.

2.2. Author’s information, including mailing address, phone number, academic rank, and affiliation, appearing on a separate page.

2.3. Persian abstract, about 15 lines or 150 words in length

2.4. Persian keywords (4 to 8 words) at the end of the abstract

2.5. An introduction, which presents the main topic of the study as well as literature review, and provides the reader with enough information pertaining to the main topic of the study.

2.6. The body of the paper, including the main subject and its analysis.

2.7. Conclusion

2.8. References

2.9. English abstract indicating the main points discussed in the paper.

2.10. English keywords (translation of Persian keywords)

2.11. Author's name along with his/her academic rank

  1. References must be written based on the following format:

3.1. In-text references: the last name of the author(s), date, page number within parentheses. For example, (Zarrin Koob, 1373: 254). If necessary, the book or article title can replace the author's name.

3.2. Book references in the bibliography: authors' last name, author's first name, date (within parentheses), book title, translator’s name, city, publisher, edition number.

3.3. Journal article references in the bibliography: author's last name, author's first name, date (within parentheses), article title (within quotation marks), journal title, issue number, volume, page number.

3.4. Online articles: author's last name, author's first name, last date retrieved (within parentheses), title (within quotation marks), site address (in italics).

  1. Articles must be no longer than 20 pages with every page not more than 23 lines in length.
  2. Articles must be written based on "dastur-e xat-e farsi" (Persian handwriting) published by Persian Language Academy.
  3. The English version of foreign names must appear in parentheses immediately after the Persian version.
  4. The editorial committee reserves the right to accept or reject the articles or make any editorial changes.
  5. Manuscripts will not be returned to the author(s) under any conditions.
  6. Authors are responsible for the content of the materials submitted.

 

3.Conditions for Preliminary Acceptance

  1. The article must have the features mentioned in section A and section B of this guide. They must be typed in Word XP in Nazanin, font 12. Four hard copies of the article along with an electronic version (saved on a compact disc) must be sent to the journal address.
  2. Articles that are a truncated version of MA or Ph.D dissertations must include the name of the dissertation advisor as well as his approval for submission of the article.
  3. Authors must state that the manuscript is original, not under review, or published in any other journals or conference proceedings.
4.Fee for registration, refereeing, acceptance and article profile

In the first stage,
when the article is sent for arbitration, the author must pay the amount of 2,000,000 two million Rials for the arbitration fees. In the second stage If the article is accepted, the author must pay 3,000,000 three million Rials for the costs of accepting and indexing the article.

  (CLS Journal) is a peer-reviewed journal dedicated to publishing studies pertaining to Children's Language and literature and shares the findings of the research with the scholars interested in Iranian literature and culture.

5.Requirements for Publishing Articles in the Journal

  1. Editorial policy

6.Acknowledgements

Acknowledgements, if any, should appear after "Conclusion" section.

 

7.Online submission

 To access to (CLS Journal) online system for submission, please link directly to http://jcls.shirazu.ac.ir and click on “Login”. Enter your User ID and Password and then follow the instructions provided on each page. Authors will receive an immediate acknowledgement of the receipt of their paper.

 

8.  Charger of Review and Print

 Hereby, We would like to inform you that since beginning of March 2018, this quarterly will receive 2,000,000 Rials for each received article to be judged and another 3000,000 Rials for publication in the case of acceptance

(it should be noted that if the article is rejected by the respect judges the initial amount of 2,000,000 Rials will not be returned to the author).

Note: The amount of (3,000,000 Rials) will be received after the initial approval of the article by editorial board and the specialized secretary for publication in the case of acceptance.

Note: In order to support young researchers, Children's Literature Studies Journal provides a 50% discount for articles whose author/authors (all authors) are students, in the process of paying the referee fees and accepting the article.

 

9.Publication Ethics

This journal is following of committee on publication ehcs (COPE) and complies with the highest ethical standards in accordance with ethical lows.

 The ethical policy of (CLS Journal) is based on the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines. Editorial board and advisory board, editor-in-chief, authors, reviewers, editors and readers should follow these ethical policies once working with (CLS Journal). If any violation of the law is detected by the researchers, the journal will deal with international law (COPE).

 

Acceptance of the Papers

The editor-in-chief is responsible for accepting or rejecting of the papers. The editor-in-chief with the consultation of the editorial board, advisory board, reviewers and editors while considering copyright, plagiarism, and other related issues, decides on the acceptance of the papers.

Fairness

The editor-in-chief has the responsibility of judging the papers only according to their scientific features and should act without any bias, personal hatred; nor should he/she act with a bias to nationality, gender, religious and tribal, racial and political issues.

Privacy

During the reviewing process, the editor-in-chief and members of the editorial board and advisory board should not reveal any material about the article to anybody except the reviewers, authors, and editors.

Confidentiality and not Using the Paper for Personal Use

All or part of the materials that have not been published should not be used in the editor-in-chief’s, editorial boards or advisory board's personal research without the author’s written consent. The confidential information or ideas obtained through reviewing the papers should be kept in confidence and should not be used for their personal interests.

 Reviewers

Acceptance of the Papers

The reviewers help the editor-in-chief, editorial board and advisory board in making decisions about the acceptance or rejection of the papers, and contribute to improvement of the submitted papers by sending corrections to them.

 

The Right of Refusals and Non-acceptance

Refusal and rejection of a paper review is necessary according to the time and setting. The reviewer who feels disqualification for reviewing a paper should refuse the review.

 

Confidentiality

 The reviewers should respect the confidentiality of the reviewing process and should not yield any information about the paper to anyone except the editor-in-chief without written consent of the writer.

Being Unbiased

The reviewers should review the papers objectively and in an unbiased and just manner. They should avoid personal biases in their comments and judgements.

 

References

The reviewers should identify and examine the writer’s references. Any conclusion or discussion already proposed should be accompanied with the source. Moreover, in case of observing any similarity or overlap between the submitted paper and another paper, the reviewer should report it to the editor-in-chief.

 

Conflict of Interests

The reviewers should not use the information or ideas they obtain during the review process for their own interests. Moreover, the reviewers should avoid reviewing the papers that, in their opinion, entail conflict of interests including common, organizational, or personal financial interests or any link with the companies, institutions, or the people related with the papers in one way or another.

 

Authors

Reporting the Results

The corresponding author is the person held responsible for the contents of the submitted paper. The authors are responsible for comprehensive and complete report of their findings, and they should be particularly careful in reporting the results and interpreting them. The paper should include enough details and sources so that other researchers will have access to similar data for replication of the study.

Originality

The authors should declare that the submitted manuscript is original and has not been previously partially or fully published elsewhere neither in Persian nor in any other languages. The authors are not allowed to send all or part of the paper that is under review process in another place to (CLS Journal).

 

Writing the Paper

All authors mentioned in the article should have real cooperation and contribution in writing the paper and should be responsible for its results. The authorship validity or score should be determined according to the authors’ share in preparing different parts of the paper. The authors should accept the responsibility of the paper. The corresponding author who sends the article to (CLS Journal). should send a copy or a draft of the paper to all co-authors and should have their consent for sending the paper to the journal and publishing it. 

 

Changes of Authorship

The list and order of authors must be approved by all authors before submitting their manuscript. Any addition, deletion or rearrangement of author names in the authorship list should be made and explained by reasons given by the corresponding author and confirmed by all other authors before reviewing process of the manuscript and only if approved by the editor-in-chief.

 

Acknowledgement

The author(s) should mention the name of the centers or people who have affected the completion of the study and should express their appreciation of their help. Moreover, if the study has a financial sponsor, it should be mentioned and appreciated in this section.

 

Conflict of Interests

The authors are required to mention any conflict of interests which have affected the research results or their interpretation and refer to the financial sources which sponsor the study.

 

Revising the Paper

 If the author(s) notice any error or major carelessness in his/her work, he/she should report it to the editor-in-chief of (CLS Journal). and should cooperate in the process of revising and making corrections.

 

Peer Review System

(CLS Journal) uses a “single blinded reviewing” process for all articles.

 

Plagiarism

Online plagiarism checker softwares are used to detect similarities between the submitted manuscripts and other published papers.

 

Open Access Policy

This journal provides open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public and supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
