<dcterms:abstract><![CDATA[ Lullabies are considered as a branch of popular literature and are a subcategory of children's literature as they pay attention to children and their issues. Furthermore, lullabies as the first type of music for children have a long history since the beginning of humanity. The reflection of the political, cultural, religious, and social issues in lullabies over centuries can be considered the main factor for their survival. Changes in the content of lullabies based on the issues of each age gives us the information regarding the social events of the time. The appearance of social issues in new lullabies, produced by poets, is more than the old lullabies that mothers used to sing necessitating further study. It is argued that beside elements such as development of industry or population changes, ideology has entered into lullabies changing the content, the motifs and the setting. ]]></dcterms:abstract>

<dcterms:abstract><![CDATA[A STUDY OF YOUNG ADULT’S TASTE FOR, AND INTEREST IN FICTION IN MIDLLE SCHOOLS OF SHIRAZ This paper is a study of the opinion and taste of young adults with regard to fiction through a quantitative approach. The data was collected from Shiraz County junior high school students with the help of a researcher-made questionnaire. The statistical sample included 484 young adults of seventh and eighth grade (243 female and 241 male) who were selected through random sampling from all four districts of Shiraz Department of Education. Data analysis suggested that 71.6% of female and 45.2% of male students read stories. Other statistical analyses show that novels and long stories are more popular compared to short stories, anecdotes and other types of stories. The main source of supplying fiction for male and female young adults is purchasing books and then reading on the Internet. The most popular type of stories among young adults are realistic stories followed by fantasy. Female students are mostly fan of romance, while male students tend to read crime. Although there is disagreement in selecting tone and environment for female and male students, adventure and thrillers are among the most popular. The taste comparison of young adults in selecting story type and topic and also comparing the most attractive stories read by them suggest that there is a huge gap between books for children published in 2009-2011 and the taste and selection of young adults. ]]></dcterms:abstract>

Hasti tells the story of personal and social experiences of Hasti, a female teenager, who moving from childhood is faced with psychological problems and social conflicts in one of the most challenging periods in her society. The writer has tried to foreground individual and social acts of Hasti in wartime in order to show social development as part of the general development of children. By the end of the story, Hasti having been placed in an efficient social role and gaining identity against confusion reaches a new stage of growth among the eight stages of growth theory of Erikson. ]]></dcterms:abstract>

<dcterms:abstract><![CDATA[ Today Psychology and its application in life are of great importance. This science has long been interconnected with other sciences, including literature. In this paper, Adler's personality theory has been used to study the reason for the inferiority complex in the characters of two books by Mehdi Rajab. Environment (home/school) is known to be a major cause of feelings of inferiority in children and adolescents. In this research, the effects of the home environment such as parent depression, loss of life, poor and inadequate guardian, and the school environment such as physical and verbal harassment by classmates and teachers, on the formation of a sense of Inferiority in a character are studied. It is argued that the impact of school environment is more than the home environment. In Canned Giant and its major character, Tooka, this sense of inferiority is observed more than in The Lost Yunataray. ]]></dcterms:abstract>

It will also enhance different types of drama for children. Eleven stories from among many stories for groups A and B were chosen in order to extract narrative- performative elements to adapt some as short animations, radio plays, puppetry or the stage. Considering various narrative structures and adapting them to suit various performance arts on the one hand, and the extent of children's curiosity, eagerness, patience, and mental growth on the other play a significant role in determining the suitability of proposed performances. ]]></dcterms:abstract>

<dcterms:abstract><![CDATA[ Abstract Kalila va Dimna is one of the valuable texts of the past. An important merit of Kalila va Dimna is its narrative and decentarative capacities. The purpose of this paper is to study the capacities of 7th part of Kalila va Dimna a for rewriting and recreation according to Maria Nikolajeva and the pattern proposed by Khosronejad. The findings of this study show this part of Kalila va Dimna does have the appropriate narrative structure for children such as simple plot, attractive characterization and dialog suitable to be rewritten in a simple language in which every character is speaking in his special tone. There are nine techniques of decentration in this story: happy end, exaggeration, narrator’s intervention and change, exhibitionism, white-writing, surprise, debate, tale in tale, and displacement of the protagonist. ]]></dcterms:abstract>

<dcterms:abstract><![CDATA[Abstract Translation of children and adolescents’ literary texts is usually accompanied with difficulties as it has special characteristics of its own. Studies have shown that translating children and adolescents' books require a professional translator who is familiar with child psychology, stages of language development and cultural differences of the source and target languages. We have compared the collection of stories, The Legends of al-Nakhlat al-Khudra, with its Farsi translation to elaborate the difficulties translating children's books from Arabic to Farsi. Bringing some examples of this collection, we analyze the necessities of children stories’ translation based on viewpoints of theoreticians including Oittinen, Kleinberg and Dahl. The results of this study show that the translator of this story collection faces some challenges such as Arabic-Farsi culture and language differences, lack of connection between text and picture, and negligence in transferring educational goals from target stories. ]]></dcterms:abstract>

<dcterms:abstract><![CDATA[Abstract The Little Black Fish by Samad Behrangi is one of the books that has a special place in the history of children and adolescent literature. Reza Rahgozar (Mohammad Reza Sarshar) considers this book to have no metaphorical meaning because black color does not have any revolutionary connotation. In this article, some features of hermeneutics theory are applied to understand the meaning of black. To this end, the meaning of black in a picture of a fictional poem and three articles are explored. It is argued that anti-colonial liberation revolutions, especially in Africa, which were taking place at the same time, have been the focus of attention among Iranian intellectuals of the time. Prior to the Islamic Revolution, the color black signified revolution and resistance to colonialism and despotism. Hence, the use of black in this story has its own metaphorical meaning. Discussing the relationship between metaphorical story and children's literature, it is concluded that several reference books for children and adolescents must reconsider and revise what they have presented in this respect. ]]></dcterms:abstract>
