Abstract
This article presents a comparative analysis of the various facets of maturation in the adolescent female characters of the novels Dalgak (1391) by Hoda Hadadi and Ziba Sedayam Kon (1393) by Farhad Hassanzadeh. The primary objective of this research is to examine the representation of physical, emotional, political, and social maturation within these two novels and to analyze the differences in perspectives between female and male authors across these domains. This study employs a comparative-analytical method, utilizing data extracted from the texts to evaluate the maturation processes of the adolescent female characters both independently and comparatively. The findings reveal that Dalgak predominantly emphasizes cultural and spiritual dimensions of maturation, whereas Ziba Sedayam Kon highlights maturation particularly in social, political, and cognitive aspects. Ultimately, the divergent representations of maturation in these novels reflect the distinct viewpoints of the female and male authors, notably in their attention to the psychological and social complexities of adolescent characters. This research specifically investigates the role of gender in the portrayal of maturation within children's and young adult literature.
