چکیده:
«ایزدکران» یا دوقلوهای مقدس و آسمانی، یکی از بن‌مایه‌های اساطیری است که در آیین و اساطیر ملل مختلف به شکل‌های گوناگون متجلی شده است. اگر چه این دوقلوها و ویژگی‌های خاص آن‌ها در آثار طراز اول ادبیات فارسی منعکس نشده، اما چنین دوقلوهایی در قصه‌های ایرانی که از قدیم الایام سینه به سینه نقل شده، با همان ویژگی‌ها به وضوح دیده می‌شوند. از آن‌جایی که اکثر قصه‌ها نمادین، و از تأویل پذیری بالایی برخوردارند، در مقاله‌ی حاضر از این منظر به تحلیل قصه‌ی «برادر عاقل و برادر دیوانه» پرداخته شده است. این قصه در مناطق مختلف ایران به شکل‌های گوناگون روایت گردیده است. در این قصه مهم‌ترین ویژگی‌های دوقلویی از قبیل ارتباط با اسب و گاو، گذر از زندگی کشاورزی و دامداری و رسیدن به زندگی شهری و شکل‌گیری تمدن، فدا شدن یکی برای بقای دیگری، دفن یکی از دوقلوها به مناسبت بنا کردن ساختمان و... وجود دارد. در قصه‌ی مذکور، اگر چه برادرِ دیوانه در ظاهر، رفتاری متضاد با برادر عاقل دارد، اما همین رفتار متضاد است که زمینه‌ی پیشرفت برادر عاقل را فراهم می‌آورد.

Abstract
Dioscurism or divine and sacred twins as an element of almost all ritual and myths of different nations exists in one form or the other. Although holy twins with their specific features are not present in Iranian great epic –Shahnameh, they are narrated in ancient Iranian oral tales. In this paper, the tale of “wise brother and Crazy brother” is discussed from this viewpoint. In this tale the twins' relationship with cows and horses, their passage from agricultural life to urban life and sacrifice of one twin for the sake of the other as well as burying one in order to put the foundation for a building are noticed. The crazy one seems to have an opposite character but the same character provides success for the wise brother.
