چکیده
تصویر یکی از عناصر اساسی کتابهای کودکان است که نظریه‌پردازان بسیاری از جمله پری نودلمن به کارکرد آن توجه نشان داده‌اند. . از نظر وی، یک تصویر خوب شش گونه اطلاعات را به مخاطب منتقل می‌کند. در گونه‌ی اول و دوم که ابتدایی‌ترین کارکرد تصویر محسوب می‌شود، تصویر در راستای متن حرکت کرده و اطلاعات موجود در متن را تأیید می‌کند. در سه گونه‌ی دیگر که اصلی‌ترین کارکرد تصویر محسوب می‌شود، تصویر فراتر از متن حرکت می‌کند و اطلاعاتی را بر متن می‌افزاید. وی معتقد است برخی تصاویر نارسایی دارند و حتی از پتانسیل تأیید کردن اطلاعات متن نیز برخوردار نیستند. این مقاله در نظر دارد، تصاویر شش داستان دفاع مقدس کودکان را بر اساس نظریه‌ی نودلمن بررسی کند. یافته‌های پژوهش نشان می‌دهد که در این داستانها، تصاویر یا معادل بصری واژگان را ارائه می‌دهند و پیام متن را تأیید می‌کنند یا نارسایی و کم‌کاری دارند و حتی از قابلیت تأیید کردن اطلاعات موجود در متن نیز برخوردار نیستند. تصاویر این داستانها نتوانسته‌اند متناسب با ظرفیت متن، اطلاعاتی فراتر از متن در اختیار مخاطب کودک قرار دهند و پیام متن را تقویت کنند. بنابراین، مطابق نظریه‌ی نودلمن، اکثر تصاویر این داستان ها در ابتدایی‌ترین حالت انتقال اطلاعات قرار دارند.

A Study of Relationship between Text and Pictures in Six Holy Defense Stories Based on Perry Nodelman’s Views

Abstract
Illustration is a key element in children’s books and many theorists have paid attention to its functions. Perry Nodelman opines that one of the aspects in evaluating illustration is the link between text and illustration that draws attention to its function in terms of how to transfer information to child audience. He believes that a good illustration transfers six types of information to the audience. The first and second types confirm information existing in the text. The other four categories add information to text. He believes some illustrations are insufficient and don’t even have the potential of verifying the information in the text. This paper studies the illustrations of six stories of holydefense for children based on Nodelman's views. The results indicate that the illustrations either confirm the massage of text, or are insufficient not having the ability to verify information in the text. The illustrations cannot give information to child’s audience beyond the text to enhance the message of the text. Thus based on Nodelman’s views, most of the illustrations in these stories are in primary stage in transferring information. On the other hand, it seems as if long detailed texts on holy defense don’t allow authors to conduct proper visual information in innovative ways.
