چکیده
فریبا کلهر در مجموعه‌ی سفرهای کرگدن از شخصیتی تنها سخن می‌گوید که سفری درونی و رازآلود دارد. می‌توان گفت آنچه داستان‌ها را بهم پیوند می‌دهد تلاش شخصیت‌های مختلف (قو، پری، شاپرک، آهو) برای برقراریِ ارتباط عاشقانه یا دوستانه با کرگدنی است که به ندرت از لاک خود بیرون می‌آید. هدف این پژوهش بررسی جایگاه مجموعۀ سفرهای کرگدن، در قلمروِ کتاب‌های تصویری داستانی است. جایگاه این مجموعه با توجه به مفهوم به کل رسیدن که خسرونژاد بدان اشاره دارد مشخص می‌شود. در این پژوهش به انواع ارتباط واژه و تصویر که نیکولایوا و اسکات برشمرده اند اشاره و مفهوم به کل رسیدن با توجه به این ارتباط‌ها بررسی می‌شود. در بررسی کتاب‌های این مجموعه با رویکردی توصیفی-تحلیلی، ابتدا به این مسئله پرداخته می‌شود که متن واژگانی بدون حضور متن تصویری، چه داستانی روایت می‌کند، و سپس برهم کنش واژه و تصویر بررسی خواهد شد، تفاوت بین روایت واژگانی، و روایت واژگانی-تصویری برشمرده خواهد شد. ارتباط‌های افزایشی و تقابلی موجود در سفرهای کرگدن آثار این مجموعه و نیز خود مجموعه را به کلی فراتر از اجزا نزدیک کرده‌اند.

Abstract
Kalhor in Safarhay e Kargadan (Rhino's Journeys) describes a lonely character that goes on a mysterious internal quest. It can be said that what binds the six books of the collection is the effort made by different characters (Swan, Peri, Dragon Fly, and Gazelle) to relate to the rhino emotionally, while the rhino seldom comes out of his shell. The purpose of this research is to determine the status of this collection in the domain of picture-story books. The status of this collection is to be specified with regard to Khosronejad's theory of wholeness. In this research, different types of word and image interaction as counted by Nikolajeva and Scott are pointed out and the concept of wholeness is discussed in terms of the aforementioned interactions. In this research, with a descriptive-analytical method, first a thematic sketch of the verbal narrative will be drawn, and then the interaction of word and image will be explored to see to what extent pictures contribute to words. The enhancing and counterpointing interactions, commonly occurring in Safarhay e Kargadan (Rhino's Journeys), seem to help the collection approach wholeness.
