Lullabies are considered as a branch of popular literature and are a subcategory of children's literature as they pay attention to children and their issues. Furthermore, lullabies as the first type of music for children have a long history since the beginning of humanity. The reflection of the political, cultural, religious, and social issues in lullabies over centuries can be considered the main factor for their survival. Changes in the content of lullabies based on the issues of each age gives us the information regarding the social events of the time. The appearance of social issues in new lullabies, produced by poets, is more than the old lullabies that mothers used to sing necessitating further study. It is argued that beside elements such as development of industry or population changes, ideology has entered into lullabies changing the content, the motifs and the setting.
