Read More This article examines the concept of e-pistolary writing (the use of emails in novels) and the function it serves in young adult literature. By using the views of critics such as Elizabeth Campbell and Victoria Flanagan and focusing on issues such as “transnational citizenship,” “technorealist” structure, and “perspective-subjectivity,” the article seeks to answer the question: how the epistle writing produces some counter-narratives that redefine the interaction of young adults with the power structures? For this purpose, Light a Candle for me (2017), the acclaimed novel by Maryam Mohammadkhani, is examined. The distinguished feature of Mohammadkhani’s work is that she integrates the technique of epistolary writing with that of technorealism and employs it to narrate the life of an adolescent girl. To examine these features, this article, through a descriptive-analytical method, addresses how cyberspace and email writing are used to challenge dominant gender hierarchies and redefine the female identity. It is argued that the expansion of the cyberspace along with the possibility of equal access by everyone has resulted in the formation of a heteroglossic, democratic ambiance, which triggers a polyphonic world. It is in this world of virtual reality that everybody’s voice, especially young women and girls, is heard. The experience of such polyphony and freedom of maneuver on the part of women affects their conceptions of their ‘selves’ and their identities. No longer do they consider their identities an essential entity that is fixed and predetermined by norms set by liberal humanism On the other hand, affected by the collective nature of the cyber space, these women consider identity as “performative” and fluid. That is, they approach identity as a social “construct” that lies somewhere beyond notions of anatomy, race, and religion. The result is the formation of female intersubjectivity that resists dominant power structures and gender norms.

Read More Technological innovations through artificial intelligence have made stories available to children for interactive storytelling experiences without the involvement of busy parents. The purpose of this article is to analyze the process of an interactive storytelling based on artificial intelligence in order to nurture a creative child who can discover hidden patterns and generate new ideas while minimizing parental involvement. Introducing the features of interactive smart toys to cultural-artistic trustees, artists and researchers in the media field has also been considered. "Story tick" is a Japanese interactive storytelling toy with various educational purposes, which is analyzed in this article with the perspective of "Aiden Chambers", a contemporary British theorist in the field of children's literature studies. The main question of the research is how interactive storytelling plays a role in cultural formation and orientation of children for the development of creativity and individual skills. The research method is descriptive-analytical and has been carried out with the developmental-applicative goal of modeling and promoting it in the field of children's storytelling. On this basis, according to the information in the field of interactive storytelling in smart toys and based on the four components of this theorist, including "style, perspective, favoritism and telling gaps" in the field of storytelling, the "Story Tick" smart toy has been analyzed so that the child's role as the main guide The story should be evaluated. The results of the research confirm that, based on the components mentioned by the theorist, "Story tick" has been concerned with the development of creativity and engaging the child's imagination, and more importantly, it provides the child with problem solving solutions. On the other hand, the feature of freedom of action in choosing and even the possibility of creating a story by the child is evident in this interactive intelligent storytelling.

Read More Manoochehr Ehterami is one of the most prominent and successful writers and poets in Iranian children's literature. His poetry collections, particularly the *Hassani Nago Ye Dasteh Gol* series, have remained among the most beloved works in children's poetry since the Islamic Revolution, with millions of copies published. While various factors have contributed to the success and longevity of his poetry, the use of humor and its diverse techniques appears to play a significant role in preserving the appeal of his works. Ehterami's humor, due to its universality and its grounding in children's real-world experiences, initially engages children through humorous discoveries and situations, creating a deep emotional connection with them. It then stimulates joy and excitement by drawing on children's imagination and unique way of thinking, leaving a lasting impact that can endure for years or even a lifetime. This study specifically aims to analyze the impact of humor techniques on the success and longevity of Ehterami's children's poetry, focusing on 17 poetry books from the 21-volume *Hassani* collection. The research is conducted through a descriptive-analytical method.The findings reveal that one of the key factors in the success and longevity of Ehterami's poetry is his use of tangible and automatic humor techniques such as puns, hyperbole, metaphors, conciseness, and more. Additionally, he employs unique humor techniques of his own, such as a humorous worldview, ironic twists, humorous characters, and humor rooted in folklore. Among these, humor derived from folklore has the highest frequency, while paradoxical humor has the lowest. Ehterami primarily uses humor with an entertaining, educational, and critical approach. His humorous poems consist of both surface and deeper layers: the surface layer is engaging and entertaining for children, while the deeper layers have a critical function by inspiring curiosity and inquiry in young readers.
