The myth of the abandoned child is a motif that can be seen among some nations that have ancient myths and legends. One of the most famous written narratives of this subject in Iran is the story of Zal's birth in the Shahnameh. This structure has examples in Iranian folklore literature. One of these narrations, which has not been recorded anywhere before, is the story of "Zarraban" in the village of Bahareh in Fars province. The writer first recorded this story through the field method and through interviews with old people, and then with the library method and descriptive-analytical approach, relying on the similarities and differences between folk tales and folk tales. In the Shahnameh, he analyzed folk narratives. The findings of the research show that this narrative is basically the same as the story of Zal in the Shahnameh; But there are also fundamental differences that have caused a completely native and different narrative to be created; These differences include: a different beginning, the dominance of the mythological atmosphere in most parts of the folktale, the addition of characters such as Shepherd, Goulak, Pari and Davalpa, the influence of the beliefs of the people of the region on the story, and the addition of secondary and entertaining events. A folk tale.
